Backpack/ School Supply Drive with Junior League of Kane and DuPage County (JLKD)

In the beginning of July, CCM&Ts partnered with the Junior League of Kane and DuPage Counties (JLKD) to supply back-to-school supplies for children who come from impoverished families in Aurora. In total 50 backpacks were packed full of healthy snacks and school supplies! 25 backpacks were donated to toddlers in a social work program run by SmartSteps that prepares them for entering kindergarten. Another 25 backpacks were donated to children
in grades 2-5 who are victims of abuse living at Mutual Ground.
These children are living in poverty just a few miles from our
homes and giving them these supplies really helps to get them
excited about heading back to school. JLKD would like to
thank CCM&T for their generous donations. SmartSteps, Mutual
Ground, and the families are VERY grateful for our support!!
