Cress Creek Moms & Tots (CCM&T) is a network of moms in Naperville who regularly meet to have fun, share experiences, find advice, give support and make new friends. We also provide friendship and interaction for our children. Our group is not just an online group, but an offline community of mothers and families. Cress Creek Moms & Tots warmly welcomes any moms in the Cress Creek, Cress Creek Commons, and Creekside neighborhoods-- expecting, stay-at-home, or working... anyone who would like to actively participate in group events. We all face trials, tribulations, and incredible joys through motherhood. Join the group, and find that there are many women who want to share it with you!

Kidney Disease Walk

Nora was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome at the age of 3 on January 31, 2017. We were hopeful she would respond to the medications and eventually outgrow this condition. After several weeks she still was not responding to the first line treatment so a biopsy was performed to see if she had a more serious form, called FSGS (Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis). FSGS causes permanent scarring of the kidneys and may lead to kidney failure (requiring dialysis or transplant). Unfortunately the biopsy results confirmed the FSGS diagnosis. She will not outgrow this disease and will have to live with it the rest of her life. There is currently no cure and treating the disease can be difficult. The goal is to find a medication that Nora will respond to in order for her to get into remission to slow down the scarring of her kidneys. The hope is that there will be enough funding for research to find a cure or at least better treatment options so Nora will never need dialysis or a transplant.

Together, we are leading the charge against kidney disease FSGS and Nephrotic Syndrome. NephCure is funding the best and brightest researchers, educating patient families across the globe and partnering with pharmaceutical companies to find a cure! Together, we can make a difference.

Movie Night

Saturday September 23rd CCM&T members and CC Commons residence had a movie night watching Sing in the Commons Parking Lot. Residents ate popcorn, enjoyed candy and ice pops and enjoyed the warm fall night.
